What do I need?

• Application form, statement of purpose and consent for academic verification, printed after you apply online at intl.daegu.ac.kr
• Copy of your passport, and your alien registration card if you have one
• Copies of your father's and mother's passports, or government ID cards
• Family relationship certificate or birth certificate, with a certified translation
• Bank balance certificate of at least 16,000,000 won in your name or a parent's
• High school graduation certificate, apostilled or confirmed by the consulate
• High school transcript covering every year
• IELTS or TOEFL score report: IELTS 5.5 or TOEFL iBT 3.5 (59 on the old scale) or higher
• Receipt for the 100,000 won application fee transfer

THE BANK CERTIFICATE must be issued within 30 days of sending your papers. Already studying at Daegu, say at its language centre? 8,000,000 won held for a month in a Korean bank is enough.

If the bank certificate prints a validity period, it counts for 6 months from issue. For rounds 2 and 3 it must still be valid after 2 March 2027.

Living in Korea? The certificate must come from a Korean bank, issued within 3 months.

Copies issued within 6 months are fine to apply. If you pass, originals are due by 10 December, 22 January or 24 February, by round. No originals, no Certificate of Admission.

The fee is 100,000 won, paid by transfer in your own name within your round's window, or the application is cancelled. Upload every paper as a PDF; only if you pass do you send originals, by post or in person, to the Office of International Affairs.

If you did all your schooling abroad, you prove every stage from primary school on. Graduates of one country's schools may send that government's online diploma verification instead (see the guide).

Documents in any other language need a Korean or English translation.

All requirements

• You and both parents are foreign nationals (schooling abroad or in Korea both count), or you are a foreign national who did all of primary, middle and high school abroad. Dual Korean nationality rules you out
• Freshmen: you finish high school. Homeschooling, online or distance learning, adult education and a GED are not accepted
• Judged 100% on your documents. You need 60 out of 100 to pass

• THE WHOLE COLLEGE OF INTERNATIONAL STUDIES IS FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS ONLY
• English track: IELTS 5.5 or TOEFL iBT 3.5 (59 on the old scale)
• Pass an earlier round and you cannot apply again in a later one. On the schooled-abroad route, any time at a school in Korea rules you out
