What do I need?

• Application form, typed online
• Study plan, typed online
• Recommendation letter, optional but encouraged, sent by a professor through the online site during the application window
• Bachelor's degree certificate and full transcript; PhD applicants add the master's degree and transcript. With an apostille or consular confirmation
• Language score report or certificate
• Passport copies for you and both parents, and legal proof of the relationship
• Optional: up to ten extra materials such as a thesis abstract, research or work certificates
• Music, Art and Design, Sports and Media Design applicants send performance materials; Voice majors audition on 24 October 2026

Admitted graduate students can ask for priority dormitory placement for one year. Spring 2027 rates for 123 nights: I-House double 1,976,490, E-House double from 1,645,370, Hanwoori quad from 890,760 won, meals not included.

All requirements

• EWHA ADMITS WOMEN ONLY: the rule governing the General Graduate School in this guide
• You and both parents hold a nationality other than Korean; a Korean dual national cannot apply
• A bachelor's by February 2027 for a master's or the combined course; a master's for a PhD
• LANGUAGE, one of: TOPIK 4 (108th test or earlier); level 4 at a university Korean institute by 27 November 2026; TOEFL iBT 80 (4.0 new scale), IELTS 6.0 or New TEPS 326; schooling taught in Korean or English
• Most courses in the General Graduate School are taught in Korean
• Law needs three years of legal practice; dentistry, dental hygiene and clinical medicine majors take graduates of those fields only; a degree from the Department of Medicine here gives no medical licence
• Professional schools (GSIS, law, business, education, design) run their own admissions and are not on this card
