Published by Kyonggi University. Which of these a scholarship covers is decided by the school.
What do I need?
- Application form and study plan, printed after applying online and signed by hand; the foreign student personal details form with the academic record check consent
- Master's and integrated: bachelor's graduation certificate and transcript. PhD: master's certificate and transcript. Transfers add the graduate enrolment certificate. A diploma may replace the certificate (checked against the original)
- Translated into Korean or English and notarised, with apostille or consular confirmation; transcripts must show the GPA and its percentage. Graduates of Chinese universities: the CHSI degree and qualification reports
- Passport copy; ARC front and back if you live in Korea; ID and family relation papers (Chinese applicants: resident ID of you and both parents, hukou with notarised English translation, kinship certificate if separate)
- Korean proof (TOPIK, King Sejong certificate, KGU institute 4-term certificate or KIIP record) and financial proof. PhD and transfers: research record; arts: portfolio, both brought on interview day
THE BANK BALANCE IS 20,000,000 WON OR MORE in your or a financial sponsor's name, deposited a month or more, expiry set at least 6 months ahead, issued within a month, filed WITH the application. KGU graduates (or expected graduates): 10,000,000 won.
Application fee 80,000 won, not refundable. Entrance fee 888,000 won once. Tuition 4 to 8 January 2027, 9:00 to 16:00; unpaid means cancelled. Acceptance letter and invoice print from 18 December 2026 to 8 January 2027.
To withdraw with a full refund (entrance fee included), e-mail [email protected] by 10 February 2027. After the term starts the entrance fee is kept: five sixths to day 30, two thirds to day 60, half to day 90, nothing after.

All requirements
- THE KOREAN GUIDE IS A DRAFT, marked "(안)" (late September 2026). Dates and rules may still change; the English guide says the Korean one prevails
- Master's or integrated course: a bachelor's degree, held or due by February 2027. PhD: a master's, held or due by February 2027. Both parents must be foreign nationals
- Transfers: a semester or more in a same or similar graduate programme, and TOPIK 3; up to 18 credits are recognised
- KOREAN, one of: TOPIK 4 (arts and sport TOPIK 3); King Sejong intermediate 2 (arts and sport intermediate 1); KIIP (the immigration integration programme) level 4 (3) or pre-test 81 (61)
- Or: a Korean major or minor at a university abroad; a degree from a Korean university or graduate school; or 4 terms or more completed at KGU's own Korean institute
- NO ENGLISH ROUTE: the guide prints no TOEFL, IELTS or TEPS alternative and names no English-taught department
- A department head may, with the department committee's decision, ask to admit you without the Korean requirement; you then take the Korean course for a year after entry
- GLOBAL SPECIAL DEPARTMENTS (e-mail the head professor before applying; addresses in the guide): International Business and Global Fine Art (Suwon, all levels), Global Music (Seoul, PhD only). The same Korean rule applies
- Selection: documents 50 and interview 50 (items include foreign language ability). Every applicant sits the interview on 28 November 2026 at Suwon; times are posted on 25 November
- One department only. A department with 2 or fewer new applicants (5 or fewer for the global special departments) may be cancelled, with the fee refunded
- International students with two foreign parents are admitted over the regular quota; the draft prints the number as "00"
- Tuition columns: humanities and social 4,995,000; science and sport 5,639,000; engineering and arts 6,304,000. Departments follow the field headings of the department table; Security and Protection is read as sport
- New students cannot take leave in the first semester, except for military service, pregnancy, childbirth, childcare or an illness of 4 weeks or more
