What do I need?
- Application form; scholarship papers (see the scholarship); the document checklist for foreign applicants; your full immigration record certificate (출입국사실증명서, all entries and exits)
- Bachelor's graduation certificate and transcript, each 1 copy, with an apostille (or consular confirmation). PhD applicants add the master's graduation certificate and transcript, apostilled
- Graduates of universities in China: the degree certificate (학위기) and a CHESICC (China Higher Education Student Information and Career Center) verification with its English original
- Whole-family relation certificate with an apostille; study plan and self-introduction (graduate school forms); passport copy and alien registration card copy
- Financial proof: a deposit balance certificate of 16,000,000 won or more, or another body's certificate of planned scholarship payment
- Language proof, regular course: TOPIK 3 or higher (otherwise 180 hours of Korean classes for master's, 300 for PhD, under the foreign student rules)
- English track: IELTS 5.5, TEPS 600 (NEW TEPS 326), CEFR B2 or TOEIC 600, or proof of nationality of an English mother-tongue or official-language country. Chinese track: nationality and higher education shown by the common papers
THE FINANCIAL PROOF IS A DEPOSIT BALANCE CERTIFICATE OF 16,000,000 WON OR MORE (whose name is not printed), or a certificate of planned scholarship payment from another body, filed with the papers.
Application fee 40,000 won to an individual virtual account issued after filing, by the document deadline. Exempt: national merit and basic livelihood recipients with proof. Not refunded, even for a missed interview (a rule for applicants who have one).
ENTRANCE FEE: the guide refers to an 입학금 (kept after the entrance ceremony; paid by some scholarships) but prints no amount. Tuition is not printed either. Ask 대학원 교학과 before you budget.
Dormitory (dormitory notice of 2026-07-21, 2026 second semester with weekday meals): 2-person D or E 1,087,000; 2-person A 969,000; 3-person A 895,000; 4-person B or C 840,000 won. Graduate students may apply (notice of 2026-10-28).
All papers must be originals (public bodies' fax-issued papers accepted). Papers and fees are not returned. Expected graduates who do not graduate by the entry date lose the admission.

All requirements
- FROM THE FALL 2026 ADDITIONAL ROUND 2 GUIDE (July 2026): the Spring 2027 graduate guide was not posted on 30 October 2026. A 2027 전기 eligibility notice exists; its dates, fees and documents are not printed
- You are a foreign national whose parents are both foreign nationals, holding (or earning by the entry date) a bachelor's (master's course) or a master's (PhD course), or an equal level recognised by law
- LANGUAGE, regular course (one of): TOPIK 3 or higher; KIIP pre-test 61 points or stage 3 completed; King Sejong Institute intermediate 1; or 국제처 confirms TOPIK-3-level ability and the dean approves (180-hour Korean course to follow)
- The 2027 전기 notice prints a shorter table: TOPIK 3 or higher, KIIP stage 3 or pre-test 61, or King Sejong "중급 또는 3급 이상 이수" (intermediate or level 3). It does not list the 국제처 confirmation route: ask 국제처
- BILINGUAL COURSE, English track: TOEFL 530 (CBT 197, IBT 71), IELTS 5.5, TEPS 600 (NEW TEPS 326), CEFR B2 or TOEIC 600; or nationality of a country where English is the mother tongue or a legal official language, higher education completed
- Bilingual course, Chinese track: a national of a country whose mother tongue is Chinese who completed higher education there (the 2027 notice adds "또는 법적 공용어", or legal official language, and drops "there")
- The 2027 notice lists the English native countries as "미국, 영국, 캐나다, 남아공, 뉴질랜드, 호주, 아일랜드" (USA, UK, Canada, South Africa, New Zealand, Australia, Ireland)
- HOW TO APPLY (2027 전기 notice): through 국제처 only, in person or by registered mail, "온라인 접수 ×". Fall 2026: forms printed from the site, papers to the graduate office (올셋어드민센터, 2nd floor) by 17:00 on the document deadline
- Selection, foreign applicants: documents only. Master's: university grades 100 + document screen 100; PhD: university grades 50 + graduate grades 50 + document screen 100. Total 200, no interview
- Courses: master's and PhD regular course 2 years (4 semesters); a 1-year master's intensive course (2 semesters, foreigners only) is recruited inside the bilingual tracks. Tuition for the two is set separately (amounts not printed)
- A bilingual track with fewer than 10 entrants in a department is merged into the regular course. Foreign applicants may apply to every department of the three graduate schools (quota printed as "00명")
- TUITION NOT PRINTED: no graduate guide or page prints the tuition or the entrance fee amount. Tuition is refunded in full up to the day before the entrance ceremony; after it the entrance fee is kept. Ask 대학원 교학과 +82-54-479-1141
- TO GRADUATE: TOPIK 4 or higher earned while enrolled, or the school's equal standard. Without TOPIK 3 at entry, 180 hours (master's) or 300 hours (PhD) of Korean classes are compulsory
- Application fee 40,000 won, paid to an individual virtual account by the document deadline; the application counts as filed only once it is paid. Exempt: national merit and basic livelihood recipients with proof
- The fee is not refunded; after review, part (less charges) may be returned if a disaster or unavoidable reason stops you (guide p.14)
- Change of department: once, within a master's course, before the 3rd semester. False papers cancel the admission, bar you from applying for 3 years and tuition is not returned. Missing the document deadline means a fail
