Published by Sogang University. Which of these a scholarship covers is decided by the school.
What do I need?
- Online application on Sogang's international admission site, through Jinhak Apply. Then print the form, the agreement for verification of academic records and the cover page Apply
- High school diploma or expected-graduation certificate, and transcripts for all years, notarised and apostilled, or verified by a Korean consulate in the country of your school
- Proof of the language standard you apply with, still valid. Not needed for Global Interdisciplinary Studies
- Copies of your and both parents' passports. A national ID card, alien registration card or nationality certificate can stand in. Expired documents are not accepted
- Your original birth certificate, or a family register showing you and your parents, issued within one year of applying
- If it applies: papers on custody after a divorce or death, or proof that Korean nationality was lost
- Optional: SAT, ACT, AP, A-Level, IB or Gaokao results, other language certificates, awards
EVERYTHING GOES BY POST and must ARRIVE by 17:00 on 20 November: registered post, courier or by hand to the Office of International Student Affairs, Berchmans Woojung Hall #201.
Write your name and application number at the top right of every page.
Documents must be originals issued within one year of the deadline, and none are returned.
IF ADMITTED you send a bank balance certificate in January 2027, issued after January 1. Living in Korea, it must come from a Korean bank in your name.
The 150,000 won fee is not refunded once paid, and you cannot then change your unit.
FALL 2027: Sogang says its guide comes out in March and applications run April to May. No dates are published yet.

All requirements
- You and both parents are foreign nationals. If any of you ever held Korean nationality, it had to be lost before you began high school
- Dual Korean nationality on the day you apply makes you ineligible
- You finish high school by March 2027. A GED, homeschooling or online study is NOT accepted
- Transfers into year 2 or 3 are also possible in most units, with your university transcripts
- Judged entirely on your documents, with no interview
- Entrance scholarships follow your admission score: the top 1% get full tuition for eight semesters, and awards reach the top 50% (10% off the first semester)
- Completed Sogang KLEC level 3 or above? That is 25% off your first semester
