Published by Yeungnam University. Which of these a scholarship covers is decided by the school.
What do I need?
- Online application set: checklist, application form, study plan, self-introduction, photo (Korean or English); the financial guarantor is you or a parent
- Graduation and degree certificates and transcript with GPA or percentile (PhD: both degrees); China via CHSI in English; apostille countries apostilled copies; Pakistan HEC, MOFA, then the Korean embassy; others consular authentication
- Passport valid a year or more (Uzbek nationals: international passport); both parents' passports or IDs; family relation document issued within six months (China: kinship certificate, plus hukou if unclear)
- Bank balance certificate, filed WITH the application; language score original; alien registration card if in Korea; a professor's recommendation is optional
- Arts: composition works and audio, voice or instrument videos (two pieces of different periods), Korean music video, painting and design portfolios (Trans Art five works), dance video
- Transfers add a current enrolment or completion certificate and transcripts from every prior degree
THE BANK BALANCE IS 16,000,000 WON OR MORE in your or a parent's name, filed with the application, issued within a month before the document deadline and frozen at least until February 2027 if a validity period is printed; China residents issued on or after 1 September 2026; Uzbekistan residents a KDB Bank certificate; ARC holders a Korean bank in their own name. An official scholarship certificate can replace it.
Application fee 100,000 won on the site (card, Alipay or virtual account), not refunded after the deadline. Entrance fee 863,000 won once; scholarships never cover it.
D-2 visa at your local Korean mission with the standard admission letter and registration papers sent by the university (January to February 2027).

All requirements
- A bachelor's (master's or integrated) or a master's (PhD) held or expected; both parents foreign, or a foreigner schooled entirely abroad. Final certificates by 28 December 2026 (foreign universities) or 22 February 2027 (Korean)
- LANGUAGE, one of: TOPIK 3; TOEFL iBT 71 (new-scale 3.5 for tests from 2 January 2026), IELTS 5.5, CEFR B2 or TOEIC 700; King Sejong intermediate 1; KIIP 3 or pre-test 61
- Or the department judges you able to study and you take the Korean course the dean sets. English-track departments take TOEFL iBT 71 only
- Scores must date from 16 October 2024 (round 1) or 11 December 2024 (round 2) or later; institutional TOEFL and TOEIC do not count; enter the score online and post the original
- Taught in English, all or in part: English Literature, History, Physics, Chemistry, Forest Resources, Clothing and Fashion, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, Biomedical Engineering
- Also with English lectures: Civil Systems, Materials, Electrical, ICT, Chemical and Environmental Engineering. English track: Pharmacy, Battery Science. In Chinese: Chinese Language and Culture, History, Visual Design, Global Business
- Different-field applicants are welcome, except clinical medicine needs an MD or DDS. Medicine applicants consult the department first; Physics wants physics majors
- Transfers (round 2 only): master's semester 2 or 3 after one or two semesters and 6 or 12 credits in the same field; PhD after 9 or 18 credits
- Every graduate scholarship is reviewed each semester on department recommendation and needs national health insurance plus student insurance; holders assist teaching or labs up to ten hours a week
